Cooperative Communities, LLC was founded by Tim Nichols, President and owner of Nichols Financial Services Company and also President and CEO of Nichols Development, LLC.

Over the past half decade, Nichols Development has designed and developed Summerhill Cooperative Communities in Bloomington, Eden Prairie, Apple Valley and Maplewood.

In 2005, Nichols purchased the assets of noted cooperative developer, Gramercy Corporation, after the untimely death of its founder, and merged the two brands under the Cooperative Communities umbrella. Cooperative Communities has developed more than 500 units of high quality active adult cooperative residences under this community umbrella.

While Summerhill and Gramercy Club Cooperatives each present different financing models and unique amenity packages to their members, both share the Cooperative Communities commitment to providing the highest quality residential and community lifestyle to the residents of every building
