The Team Principals

Timothy (Tim) F. Nichols
Tim Nichols is President and CEO of Nichols Development, LLC, and its affiliated company Cooperative Communities, L.L.C.

He is also President and owner of Nichols Financial Services Company, a leading multifamily housing financier providing construction and permanent financing for apartments, cooperatives and health care facilities nationwide. He has a long professional history of involvement in the financial and development industries including membership in and volunteer work with the Mortgage Bankers Association of America, the Mortgage Bankers Association of Minnesota, the Mortgage Association of Minnesota, the Minnesota Health & Housing Alliance, the Minnesota/North Dakota Better Business Bureau, the Multi-Housing Association of Minnesota and the National Housing Association for Cooperatives.

Tim also has a strong commitment to the community as demonstrated by his support and participation in the Apollo Club of Minnesota, the Prior Lake Area Youth Sports Leagues, Tesseract School, and the Apple Valley School for Ecological Studies. He is a financial supporter of both local and regional community efforts including: the annual "Burnsville Holiday Lighting" program; the 2004 Saint Paul Winter Carnival Ice Palace; and the fund to build a new Minnesota Planetarium.

Tim holds a degree in Commercial Real Estate, Finance and Development from Arizona State University. In 2004, he was named one of the Minneapolis St. Paul Business Journal's "40 Under 40" business leaders in the Twin Cities.


Chuck Armstrong
Chuck is Director of Business Development for Nichols Development and Cooperative Communities, and brings a strong background of project management, financial analysis and troubleshooting to the Nichols Development Team.

His professional experience includes service as Vice President of Administration for the Saint Paul Area Chamber of Commerce, Deputy Chief of Staff to former Saint Paul Mayor Norm Coleman, Executive Vice President of the Minnesota High Tech Association, and Executive Director of the Minnesota Transportation Museum. Chuck holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Relations, Business and Legal Studies from the University of Minnesota.

 

 


Dena Meyer
Dena is Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Cooperative Communities. Her successful experience and expertise includes involvement in all areas of community development including the design, marketing and sales of more than 500 senior cooperative residences in the Twin Cities area alone.

A consummate professional, Dena is actively involved in the Minnesota Multi-Housing Association, where she was recognized in 2004 by the MADACS Awards (Multi-housing Achievement in Design, Advertising & Community Support) for "Best Overall Marketing Campaign for a Property" for her success in marketing Summerhill of Apple Valley. Dena holds a Bachelors of Arts degree in Liberal Studies from the College of St. Ben's/St. John's University, and is a licensed real estate agent.
